Wednesday, September 5, 2007 by PPV
A pregnant woman suffered burns after a Nokia battery exploded. The battery along with the handset blew up about 10 minutes after it was put on charge triggering a ball of fire.
According to Nokia, the incident was "isolated," and if it finds that the handset, battery, and charger are original, the 30-year old victim will supposedly be compensated.
The battery that exploded was, however from the firm's BL-D3 series, and not from BL-5C that was recalled a month ago.
Both batteries were manufactured by Japan's Matsushita Battery Industrial Co., Ltd.
