Four Hundred Million Firefox Downloads

The Spread Firefox movement started on November 9, 2004. It took 99 days to hit the 25 million downloads and in less than six months, the number doubled - 50 million downloads.
One year and it reached the 100 million downloads. Another year again to reach the 200 million downloads.
As of September 2007, Firefox has reached 400 million downloads. It is slowly eating the share of Internet Explorer. Firefox's growth can be attributed to its popularity and an easy to use browser. Firefox supports extensions too.
