The Battle of Quads

Now that AMD has already launched the much awaited "Barcelona" core on its Opteron line-up, benchmarks will soon pop-up on the world wild internet.
Barcelona is a native quad core cpu, while Intel's offering is a two dual core cpu bolted together.
While searching benchmarks between the latest from AMD and Intel, I came across two sites.
On the first, "Intel still king despite AMD Barcelona".
On the second, "AMD: Intel Compiler Benchmark Driven".
So it's up to you readers to decide! I'll gather more benchmarks to see if AMD's claim "Barcelona will knock Intel" is true.
