AMD AM2+ motherboard preview

After the sneek peek of Intel's X38 based motherboard from Asus, now a preview of motherboard from AMD's RD790 chip that will support the upcoming Phenom AM2+ processors.

Another AM2+ board based on the RX780 chipset – a cheaper and cut down version of the RD790 with a single PEG slot running at x16 full speed. This upcoming board is from ECS, and goodbye to floppy. ECS finally decided to ditch the FDD (floppy) connector on this board.





Over at OCW, Gigabyte introduced a Quad PCIe 2.0 graphics interface. The GA-MA790-DQ6 supports ATI CrossFire technology support (two x16 or four x8).
