Vista "Out of Memory"
Wednesday, October 17, 2007 by PPV
According to ZDNet, the Vista "out of memory" error pops up when a user tries to copy 16,400 files or smaller groups of files that add up to 16,400 between reboots.
After that, a range of other errors can occur such as menus and tabs disappearing within the Windows environment and even reboots and BSODs.
The problem is common to users running Kaspersky security products though the root of it is the kernel leak. Both Microsoft and Kaspersky know the issue for months and only now Microsoft issued the patch to solve the problem. You have to request online just to obtain the said patch.
