IBM's Symphony

IBM's Symphony is not in harmony with Openoffice.

While IBM is reporting that its new Symphony suite of office productivity tools is downloaded by 100,000 users, John McCreesh, the marketing executive of OpenOffice.org said he was annoyed that Symphony became the default application for all his OpenOffice.org files. The product installs itself without asking.

Not only that. Upon digging further with the help of an engineer, he discovered that the program was actually "a very old version 1.x release of OpenOffice.org", with a new interface and rebranding.
