SMS also commonly know as text messaging or simply txt, is growing in popularity, and not just with teenagers. It is very common here in the Philippines that network providers offers unlimited txting just to attract and make their userbase grow more. Cheap communication, that is SMS. And Yahoo jumps to this popularity by adding this feature in its e-mail.

Yahoo will introduce new features Monday for its popular Web-based e-mail program, including software that allows computer users to type text messages on a keyboard and send them directly to someone's cell phone.

The features will be available to users in the United States, Canada, India and the Philippines.
